Today I found a Black Rat Snake in my chicken pen. I started to kill it, but then I thought about what mankind really owed to snakedom. After all, It was a snake that entered the Garden of Eden and enticed Eve to eat the apple. After she  ate the apple, she and Adam realized that they were naked: That led to sex, and sex led to all of us being here. Personally, I feel that I owe a debt of gratitude to this lowly creature, and for that reason I spared his life. I know he'll just go back to eating my eggs, but I guess that's a small price to pay considering that it was his kind that led to the beginning of mankind.
